Don't really know if age or sex has to do with it however while in youth it is more about acknowledgement rather than personal pleasure. Passion is a fantasy and it can exist without the person being near or even existing at all. Passion can arise from what one wishes to be. How does being in love last? Imagination does the job. Music is an aphrodisiac to experiencing passion. Have you tried being passionate about oneself? I find that more thrilling :) Love yourself first to know how to love others, that is a better way to know what it feels like rather than searching for what one hasn't identified yet. Take yourself out on a date. Buy yourself flowers.
