At peace with oneself.

To be Holly is to be at peace with oneself and hopefully at points with others that surround you, be it a person or profession/calling.

Those who abuse those who they call holly with a scornful attitude are  those who couldn't break one into giving in to a preset rule that had no favour for both sides. Often offers come with little thought about the next person. Wanters are always takers, givers never lack.

To find oneself and to be at peace with what one has or is is to be wholesome. There are those who say they are content but with every action they give away their discontent with their lives. We live in a world that constantly seeks to subject others into a mindset and every one must find a middle ground for coexistence. Free will in free willing.

Most Men and Women are finding it hard to be content in the now and building according to self measured steps, projecting towards tomorrow because they are constantly competing with the shadows created by childhood and per-pressure zones that hadn't been healed and then results in taking the pressures out on others. It is said that children carry the burdens/sins of their parents but only when they do not partway with the ways of their fathers. Who you imitate and follow is who you become likened to.

For most it is difficult to detach themselves as the social order questions a child or a young person for wanting to leave an environment or parental home, the economic system within the underdeveloped countries subjects people to cluster and only a few fight those chains it's less in the developed worlds.

Why do people question "interfere" into decisions that an individual makes in fighting for their freedom or liberties? Greed is the the reason, everyone wants to know why a place that is likened to them someone else doesn't want to be in it, "did they find something or someone better? hence you see in some people's lives a friend would sway a friend from being with someone in specific if they hadn't found one to move on with.

Mothers hold back their sons because they don't want to be left alone even if they still have a living in spouse. Tell me if someone is happy would they fight the happiness of another? It's a terrible thing that is going on in families, religions and in economics, most are selfish and only charitable when they have found charity themselves.

Vulnerable & Naked.

I think we need to make a distinction between being exposed and naked!

Exposed is vulnerable emotions, naked is confident strength. You could be dressed up in a turtle neck and still be under scrutiny, while sexy and attract no hell. if the reason you wear tight dress is to impress rather than being who you truly are naked, then whats the point, just put a sign on your 4head "i need a Shag" :)

4knowledge.

A Scholar/student: educational platforms, the day you start respecting my quest 4knowledge will be the day I will respect your desire to test my knowledge of you. 

I don't understand the old fashion way that teachers have been trained in the methods of educating someone about their profession. I mean come on, you are taking money from me and you are deciding what you are going to give me to make a better life? What sort of education is that? Then tomorrow you will be the same institution to decide weather my talent is certified to be true? 

I am not wrong for being on the platform of a chosen career technique and I will not allow anyone mess with my love for my chosen craft to validate their importance.

This is how every true Scholar feels and why they drop out.

We go to find ourselves in school but end up being lost! Instead of teaching your children to fit in the system, teach them how to apply the system to themselves!
Marking your child as a failure cos he didn't pass maths while he is an art kid is wrong and they carry that sense of Inadequacy all their life! Some are lucky to drop that baggage and some don't!

I deal with mothers and youth and my first hurdle is first getting them out of that hole, in some cases they win in some they drop cos they haven't built courage within them! There is so much that one can do to encourage, but courage is an inbuilt system of thinking that needs to come out from within!
The society, the education system coupled with the patents are bruising and still being bruised! Don't allow anyone to label you a rabbit if you see in yourself a lion! Brand yourself as you want others to see and walk the walk!

What is experience if not knowledge and skill! The fact that you know nothing of the environment you are going in is what makes you not see the skills required and what you have within you!

If you put people to test without education how will they succeed? There are those that continue to fail at the same thing because they never re-examine the previous mistakes! 

Education is about re-examining the successes and mistakes of previous ventures! If in the books that they read information is omitted and exercises are not presented then how do we expect them to be prepared? If there are no platforms to test the knowledge how will they know what they stand for?

Our formal education needs to be a stage where all probabilities are experienced and re-evaluated before our kids graduate! This way when they sit before the employer they would know what to present and will gain at the job. The CEO will understand the needs and the mindset of who is proposing to be of service!  

Why do employers request a minimum of 2-3 years work experience? 

2-3 years of discipline and self discovery! Most employers come from the streets they paid their dues!

Why if!

Logic (from the Ancient Greek: λογική, logike)[1] is the use and study of valid reasoning. My
question is this "what is considered valid reasoning?". What stands to prove that one has validity to a thought or action? Ie I have an Idea and I can prove it! When people doubt my statements I present proof either by elaboration or actions! My logic may be considered right or wrong based on certain factors "Who is the boss or what circumstance is being explored." My point of view could be dismissed by someone saying "I do not buy into it" for their reasons; either their inability to see my perspective or my not providing enough facts.

In keeping to my true nature in making statements that raise eyebrows I would provide now an example. I said in a forum that "Africans are full of shit" ie by that opening an avenue to a discussion. In my mind the need to be liked or disliked didn't and doesn't  exist because I was coming from a perspective which was based on a statement which arose from the following projection of a research presented "the Oscar Awards panel community in the U.S. has "approximately 70% white dominating the seats and only approximately 3% of Africans participating and approximately 27% for the rest cultural groups.

My statement although perceived as an emotional projection has a logical stand! Like I said before I do not get into the debate of weather I am liked or not and wouldn't be limited by individuals care for my public image as that is the least of my concern. Critics have a reason they are liked or disliked but over all who can drive their point to show perspective that leads to progress get respect regardless of the time frame it takes! In marketing when we make statements that triggers response we reanalyse it, it's called censoring. Honestly there is no way to deduce a mindset without causing some splash! Marketers should have a thick skin!

My question is "Why if the Oscar community is interested in embracing the world of creative arts globally having such low count on other nations?" Or Is it that other nations are not interested in joining the Oscar community? I am likely to believe that it is other communities that are not interested! Some will say that this statement of mine is wrong again! If I ask them why, they will come with a variety of reasons which could include factors such as racism. Often that is the basic excuse one gives when they are confronted with the fact that they can't measure up to the standards that have been established! Yes if Oscar was just starting Now in 2015 then there are no standards to measure anyone by but Oscar was established several decades ago and the community in which it thrives have paid their dues by raising their art form to a level. Should they bring it down just to make you comfortable? I don't think so because that will send to naught not just the standards of Acting but also the standards of technology which supports the presentations of the final piece that we see! Yes we may not agree on our individual basis on what films are chosen for nomination but who are those who made them? They are by far more important as Actors and Tech crew than the film itself! As public we do not think farther to analyse the reasons some films get awards, it isn't just for a picture presentation but the level of work and skill that it takes to bring it to life! As I once said "what someone wants is different from what it takes to get the job done!

To me electing a black female as president in 2013 isn't satisfactory as I understand the play of PR. I don't need to be pacified to believe that I am accepted! If as a professional I get recognition it isn't just for public sake it is also that I put my head on the chopping block!

Our African culture of professionalism does not give us the voice to demand authority beyond the 3% that was given! Look at the quality of our productions at home. Some will say "we de try na!" Not enough i say because we can't keep being in the range of 3% and this responsibility does not lay in the hands of the Creative Arts industry alone. The financial, consulting, engineering and architectural industries to name a few are at fault for not collaborating effectively! Do we know that even the Automobile and military as well as the political groups are involved in making this work? Where do you think the tech comes from? What Automobile company supported the film Transporter?

It would be rather foolish of me as an adult and a professional to sit here and pacify our ignorance as Africans and allowing the emotional banta "racism, racism, racism!" to take over reason. "Civil rights activists" should be very mindful when they use their position to misdirecting the public in certain aspects that could hinder the progress of their people."

When we stop ignorance, when we stop the drugs, when we stop guns taking dominance within our consciousness as the only way to survive, then there will be avenue to increase ourselves from 3% to 20%. When parents think that sports and entertainment is for riff raffs, who do you now think influences the % of glory?

About to watch the film "Sense and Sensibility" and read at the back of the  cover a quote "Where so
many hours have been spent in convincing myself that I am right, is there not some reason to fear I may be wrong?"

If one is to just look at the quote without being affected by the focal point of the film one could make sense to oneself about oneself as an individual and be completely right, but when one is focused on a particular situation that involves other parties or environment one can be wrong! What is the goal I ask myself often. Is it essential to please others or to achieve a goal?

There is a difference between the inner self and the external environment even if at some or many instances they interact. We have to accept that there is none without the other for one to draw knowledge of and for one self. 

To make sense one has to have some level of sensibility to events or emotions! The definition of sensibility as stated is in the quality of being able to appreciate and respond to complex emotional or aesthetic influences; I ask why the need to respond? To belong or to connect for a moment and then move on?

Societies in other to survive have created defence mechanisms and hold on so strongly to them regardless of if it has stopped working for them! 

The intimate environment changes all the time as people grow and it isn't sensible to assume that society wouldn't change with it! When I meet stagnation within an environment i realise the individuals within that environment have stopped seeking growth.

As Charles Darwin said “I am not apt to follow blindly the lead of other men.” 

As a person I refuse to form clicks or subject human beings to keeping loyalty to my person. I will ward with such passion that no one has ever seen. Why cage oneself? Why set limits to future generations for a moments gratis? Don't we realise that it is a miracle to wake up seeing another day? Some within the society can sure make you hate being alive and then you realise that all this time you should have listened and worked within oneself!

Tell me what I need to see!

I just googled to understand what is my problem in getting across to minds when it comes to writing a story! I asked Google "tell me what is the world saying about the fundamental principles of screenwriting"? It says a Story is a projection of: Style, Structure and Substance! In my mind these words ring! Character, Character Character! Unfortunately not everyone can draw common sense to vision!

Style underlines individuality, structure supports implementation, substance is the drive of the professional behind the vision! We already have too many faceless words flying around, the world is getting boring for me!



Tenderness in business is taken as weakness. 

Time and Space!

A lot of people do not understand the difference in when someone is being emotional and when someone is being sensitive! However the line is very thin! I tend to at times create social experiments to deduce the meanings to words that can't be easily explained!

About an hour ago I came into a small cafe to have a meal on my own and the table that I like to sit at was vacant, however next to the table were siting two gentlemen who needed to discuss matters of their own interest and regardless of if I have no intention in eavesdropping on any conversation my close proximity to them makes the process of them enjoying their meal impossible, as well as myself, as I am very conscious of the undertones that transpire between people when affected by a presence. They are guys and I am a girl, you get the undertone easily. So my solution was to move from my favourite table to a much farther side! 

The difference in the time during which this was happening is what makes a difference. Those who come during the morning hours when people are at a cafe are usually seeking for privacy but during work lunch hours they just want to eat and head on most times! So when I am in a cafe in the mornings I will give the privacy that I myself want and give them theirs. Some people are comfortable discussing matters regardless of the time zones and some are shy and not often that they have something to hide!

It is quite evident that when ever there are 2 people siting at a cafe or restaurant they still want their privacy. As much as one wants to demand a stand, they should understand that a cafe is a social environment. Sensitive people realise that privacy is still a need, as one can't restrict people to confined environments to have privacy! Having a desired dialogue can not be achieved just at home or having a smoke on the balcony! Ambiance of a particular space helps the psych to unravel itself! Now they have had a chatty experience and left happy and that also makes me happy as I have the time and opportunity to go back to my table! 

Agrrrrr! Now as I try to complete my write up, an elderly person took my space! I have had a few pleasant words with him before and consider him a friend! He is 90 and still walks upright! I also sense that he didn't come to sit next to me hopefully because the universe is giving me back respect as I did the others, however he may also want his space even if I don't mind getting some tips from an older person as well as the joy that there are those who at 90 still can have a good time to chat with a youth like me!
